Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
